Qualifications

  • Transport Manager CPC qualification with proven transport planning experience.
  • Demonstrable experience managing 3PL providers within a supply chain or logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of current UK transport legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing budgets, cost controls, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and analytical skills with strong numerical capability.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence using wider Microsoft Office applications.
  • A proactive problem-solving mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day transport operations while shaping future haulage strategy.
  • Manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure service, compliance, and cost targets are met.
  • Lead and develop a transport planning team.
  • Work closely with finance and senior leadership to develop budgets and KPIs.
  • Resolve logistics issues and contribute to related operational projects.
