Logistics Coordinator

Location: Wallingford

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Our clients are leaders in a niche industry. They are recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team.

Logistics Coordinator Role and Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect goods against delivery notes for accuracy and damages.
• Notify relevant staff of shortages or damaged goods received and await further instructions.
• Store received stock in relevant locations or assign overflow locations.
• Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded.
• Unload vehicles receiving goods.
• Issue and kit materials to production in line with schedules.
• Coordinate kitting to sub-assembly and handle queries from other business units.
• Conduct periodic cycle counts for stock audits.
• Manage security, control, and movement of raw materials.
• Adhere to FIFO, paying attention to product life cycles.
• Assist with problem-solving and other tasks as directed by the Logistics Manager.
• Load/unload trucks and move stock using a forklift when needed.
• Support the dispatch team as required.
• Cross-train in multiple logistics functions and rotate as needed.
• Operate in accordance with the company's Health and Safety procedures and policies.

The ideal Logistics Coordinator will:

• Be computer literate.
• Have a good educational standard in English and Mathematics, preferably GCSEs.
• Possess SAP knowledge (desirable).
• Have experience with stockroom and dispatch procedures, preferably in manufacturing.
• Possess a forklift license (beneficial; training provided for the right candidate).
• Be in good health and able to lift weights as per Health & Safety guidelines.

Working hours:

• 40 hours per week, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
