The Opportunity

The Logistics Assistant will support the efficient day‑to‑day operations of the site by coordinating deliveries, managing materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role is hands‑on and site‑based, requiring strong organisation, communication, and attention to detail to ensure materials and equipment are delivered, stored, and distributed safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and record all incoming deliveries and materials.
• Maintain accurate stock and inventory levels using site systems and documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers, delivery drivers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Assist with scheduling and tracking shipments and collections.
• Organise and maintain storage areas to ensure materials are easily accessible and safely stored.
• Support loading and unloading of goods, equipment, and materials on‑site.
• Prepare and update delivery notes, inventory logs, and site logistics records.
• Report discrepancies or damaged goods to the Logistics or Site Manager.
• Help maintain an efficient site logistics plan, including traffic flow and storage layout.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with health and safety regulations and site procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse, or site‑based support role.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Good communication abilities and a proactive approach.
• Basic IT skills (inventory systems, email, spreadsheets).
• Ability to carry out manual handling tasks.
• Understanding of health and safety standards.
• Experience working on construction or industrial sites.
• Able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
