Job summary

A leading health board in the UK is looking for a part-time Locum Consultant Geriatrician and Physician based at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. This role is critical in supporting the Acute Geriatrics team, providing specialist geriatrics care, and participating in medical on-call duties. Candidates should have full GMC registration and relevant experience in General Medicine along with effective team and leadership skills. A competitive salary of £84,884 per annum is offered for a commitment of 7 sessions per week.

Qualifications

• Broad training and experience in General Medicine.
• Experience working in a Peri-operative setting.
• Ability to critically appraise research.
• Evidence of participation in clinical audit.

Responsibilities

• Support the Acute Geriatrics team.
• Undertake specialist geriatrics retrieval and ward rounds.
• Participate in acute general internal medical on-call rota.
