A prominent healthcare provider in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Locum Consultant Rhinologist to support their ENT team with surgical and clinical work. The role involves managing ENT and Head and Neck Surgery, assisting with the reduction of backlogs post-COVID, and participating in the on-call rota. This consultant post is to support the ENT team with both surgical and clinical work following the surge of clinical activity and to support the reduction of the backlog following the Covid-19 pandemic. Work will be based at both the Royal Stoke and County Hospitals. The team requires support from an enthusiastic ENT surgeon who can manage all aspects of ENT and Head and Neck Surgery.
Specific surgical skills relating to ENT Rhinology and Skull Base surgery are required to assist with the surgical caseload. Medical education qualifications and experience are highly desirable for this role.
The appointed applicant will have an integral role in assisting in waiting list backlogs, with routine new referrals, follow up appointments and general ENT operating lists. Successful applicants would be expected to take part in the on-call rota for the department based on a 1:9 weekday frequency and 1:14 weekend frequency as this is shared with Mid Cheshire NHS Trust.
