A leading NHS Trust in the UK is seeking a Locum Consultant Gynaecologist specializing in Urogynaecology. This full-time position at Luton & Dunstable University Hospital will involve maintaining high clinical standards and managing patients across various settings. Candidates must hold full GMC registration and possess substantial experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. An exciting opportunity is available for applications to the above full time post at Luton & Dunstable's 660 bed acute hospital serving a local population of approximately 400,000.
The main responsibilities of the Locum Consultant will be as follows:
This is a post for a Locum Consultant Gynaecologist with a special interest in Urogynaecology, to commence as soon as possible.
This post is likely to evolve in the future with the growing Urogynaecology work and in line with the requirements specified by the British Society of Urogynaecology (BSUG).
The appointee will be based at Luton & Dunstable University Hospital (but may be asked to work at other Bedfordshire hospital sites including Bedford hospital) and run gynaecology and gynaecological 2WW clinics, hysteroscopy clinics, labour wards, Gynaecology MDT, participate in the on‑call rota for both obstetrics and gynaecology, and run theatre sessions. We are happy to support the appointee with Colposcopy clinics, if they have Colposcopy interests.
It is expected that the post holder, once appointed, will work in partnership with the existing Urogynaecologist at Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
