Job description

Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Urological Surgeon based on the Newham and Whipps Cross sites for Barts Health. We are looking for a Consultant Urological Surgeon to help with the overall workload of the Urology department and to support the diagnostic and core urology work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and run operating lists.
• Attend acute and specialist clinics.
• Conduct diagnostics.
• Provide on‑call cover.
• Perform ward rounds and care for patients on wards.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including ward and specialist nursing teams.
• Fully participate in research, education and audit activities.

Qualifications

• Full registration with the General Medical Council and a licence to practise.
• Either on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST).
