A prominent NHS Foundation Trust in the UK seeks a skilled breast surgeon to join its experienced team. The role encompasses regular clinics, surgical treatments for both malignant and benign conditions, and contributions to a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must have a medical degree, GMC registration, and extensive training in breast surgery. Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (Base site: Bedford Hospital). This is a well-established substantive post within an experienced breast surgery team at Bedford Hospital, comprising one Consultant, one Associate Specialist, and one Specialty Doctor. The vacancy has arisen following the retirement of the current post-holder.
The successful appointee will be based primarily at the Bedford site; however, the Breast Unit operates as one merged service across Bedford and Luton. As the service continues to evolve, there is an increasing expectation that medical staff will integrate their practice across both sites and work flexibly to meet service needs.

The appointee will have Full UK Medical/Dental registration at time of application.
It is essential for the applicants to have obtained the MRCS or equivalent qualification, and be on the GMC Specialist Register or be within 6 months of attaining CCT at the time of the interview.
