Overview

We are looking for a part‑time Locum Consultant Histopathologist to support the routine comprehensive diagnostic service at Glan Clwyd Hospital. This is a key role within Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, North Wales’ largest health organisation, which delivers primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services to a population of over 700,000. Responsibilities
  • Take part in audit, internal quality assurance schemes, teaching and other related subjects; reporting should comply with Wales Cancer Standards.
  • Provide a comprehensive histopathology service; if Cytopathology is pursued, contribute to a non‑gynaecological service.
  • Participate in clinical‑pathological meetings, cancer multidisciplinary teams, and teaching.
  • Perform administrative and managerial duties as required, ensuring smooth department operations across all BCUHB hospitals; comply with WHC (IS)27 and engage in internal and external audit processes.
