Job description
Overview

We are looking to recruit a Locum Consultant to our Community Paediatric team in Newham for 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team within a multidisciplinary Community Child Health service in East London.

Consultant Community Paediatrician (up to 10PA) – the post will have a neuro-disability focus with weekly clinics in both neurodevelopment and motor disorders and will be lead for the Developmental assessment clinic pathway.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical activities: Consultant clinics and related administrative work; clinical triage of referrals; clinical supervision as "Consultant of the Day" including Child protection; MDT clinical discussions or meetings; any clinical patient-related meetings.
  • Teaching: Contribute to departmental teaching; contribute to teaching of medical students, particularly in relation to community child health services.
  • Management and leadership: Clinical supervision; clinical governance; management supervision; pathway leadership.
  • Audit, Quality Improvement and Service Development.
