Job Description

In this exciting, hands-on, Loan Support Officer (LSO) role, you will get the chance to make a mark in the team and report to the Loan Support Manager (LSM), and will have the opportunity:

  • To raise your profile internally by supporting the Relationship Directors within the Development Finance team to on board new customers and assisting with aspects of in-life loans such as regular drawdown payments and instructions to lawyers re property sales/redemptions.
  • To take on completion activity which is of paramount importance to this role and will include case management, liaising with internal and external parties, strong attention to detail and diary management.
  • To process the ongoing drawdowns of in-life loans following the recommendation of the Portfolio Manager (PM).
  • To instruct the Bank’s lawyers in respect of property sales following approval of PM and to monitor the subsequent receipt of funds and loan pay down.
  • To produce loan and redemption statements at the request of borrowers and reviewed by PM prior to issuing
  • To manage systems maintenance which will be essential to ensure that all reporting of data from the bank’s systems is up to date and accurate.
Key Responsibilities
  • Get to know our policies and procedures; ensure a good understanding of all the company’s policies, procedures and compliance guidelines, installing the principles in your daily practice to protect the company from any associated risks.
  • Get to know our Bank’s systems and applications.
  • To carry out completion aspects for new loans such as KYC and data inputs for new loans which is a key part of this role and will need high attention to detail and organisation.
  • Communicate and create a good rapport with a range of parties; liaise with the borrower and professionals:- (Valuer (Appraisers), Project Monitor and lawyers; to obtain fee quotes.
  • Monitor receipt of fees and provide formal written instructions to professionals.
  • Manage input to Bank systems in preparation for initial drawdown.
  • Processing of interim drawdowns — issuing the relevant document to the client following PM review of the interim report.
  • Instructing Bank’s lawyer for property sales and redemptions in conjunction with PMs.
  • Managing and producing loan and redemption statements at the request of borrowers.
  • Filing of correspondence to the electronic folders.
  • Please note this role requires to be onsite 2 days per week

  • Strong team player and independent worker and able to take ownerships of a set of tasks – a must have.
