Job description

A busy family based in North Yorkshire is seeking a Live-in or Live-out Nanny Housekeeper to support their household and care for their two young children. This is a well-balanced role combining childcare and housekeeping, ideal for someone warm, organised, and confident managing both responsibilities. The family also has a small Cavapoo, so the successful candidate must be comfortable around pets and happy to help with occasional dog walks.

Childcare & Housekeeping

Childcare is focused in the afternoons: Monday to Thursday, 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, with flexibility to babysit 1–2 evenings per week.

Housekeeping ≈ 15–20 hours per week, flexible and to be discussed.

A driver with their own car is essential due to the location. A valid first-aid qualification is a must.

Accommodation

Spacious private floor with an en‑suite bedroom, separate and private from the rest of the home.

Duties

• Ensuring the safety, well‑being, and development of the children.
• Bathing the children and maintaining good hygiene routines.
• Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
• Supporting homework, early literacy, and educational development.
• Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings.
• Performing routine floor care, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms and maintaining the kitchen area.
• Managing laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and organising.
• Making beds and changing linens as required.
• Cleaning and organising dishware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher.
• Cooking meals for the whole family.
