LinuxCareers in London is seeking a dedicated Linux systems support engineer to own end-to-end customer issues, coordinate with engineering, and manage the office's technical infrastructure. You will lead live demonstrations and events, while documenting know-how for the team and guiding customers through Ubuntu release timelines.

Competenze

• Hands-on experience supporting Linux systems.
• Exceptional written and spoken English with ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or documented alternative technical background.
• A troubleshooting mindset demonstrated through log analysis, debugging, and application-level problem solving.
• Composure and care to manage high-stakes live events and provide calm, empathetic customer support.
• Experience in virtualization or cloud (KVM, OpenStack), containers (Docker, LXD/LXC, Kubernetes), storage systems (block, object, network), or networking (bonding, firewalls, bridging, switching, MTU tuning).

Mansioni

• Own customer support cases end-to-end, via ticket, remote session, and live conversation, coordinating with engineering teams to deliver fixes.
• Manage and maintain the London office's technical infrastructure including network, devices, meeting spaces, and AV systems.
• Operate and coordinate live event technology for customer demonstrations and conferences, including setup, live operation, and teardown.
• Write and maintain knowledge base articles to document lessons learned and share expertise across the organization.
• Understand Ubuntu development and release processes to provide customers with accurate timelines and technical guidance.
