Job summary

Canonical in London seeks a multi-disciplinary role combining Linux and cloud support, office tech ownership, and live event production. You will manage the London office's AV and network while supporting customers and coordinating with engineers to deliver timely fixes.

The position emphasizes hands-on Linux skills and strong communication. You will work in a fast-paced environment at events and customer demos, ensuring systems stay reliable during high-stakes moments.

Qualifications

• Clean and clear English communication; ability to explain technical complexity.
• Undertaken a technical degree or proven alternative path with strong technical narrative.
• Experience building or running a home lab, school tech crew, or live event tech setup.
• Interest in audio/video systems and live production in high-stakes environments.
• Hands-on Linux support, with virtualization or cloud experience and container tech.
• Strong troubleshooting approach using logs, traces, and OS/app-level analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the London office technical state (network, devices, AV, spaces).
• Run technology for events and customer demos from setup to tear-down.
• Handle cases end-to-end via tickets, remote sessions, and live assistance; coordinate with engineers.
• Understand Ubuntu development cycle to provide realistic fix timelines.
• Write and maintain knowledge base articles for shared learning.
