Are you an experienced lighting designer looking to join a company that offers long‑term career development, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work on a wide range of infrastructure and development projects?

Do you have a strong background in lighting design for highways, developments or private schemes?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leading company that specialises in multi‑utility and infrastructure projects across the UK. As part of their design and delivery team, you'll play a key role in developing and delivering lighting solutions for commercial, residential and local authority schemes. Projects range from private lighting layouts through to Section 38 highway installations and lighting renewals for councils.

In this role, you'll work closely with clients and local authorities to produce compliant, cost‑effective lighting designs using software such as Lighting Reality, DIALux, Relux and AutoCAD. You'll carry out cable calculations, produce schematics, and advise clients on lighting challenges. You'll also be responsible for liaising with authorities to gain approvals, making your expertise a vital part of project delivery.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with ILP qualifications and a solid technical grounding in lighting design, looking to take on a key technical position in a stable and expanding business.

The Role:

• Lighting design for residential, commercial and highway schemes
• Produce designs using Lighting Reality, DIALux, Relux and AutoCAD
• Create cable calculations and schematics using Amtech or similar
• Liaise with clients and local authorities for scope, design and approvals
• Offer expert guidance on lighting issues and project requirements
• £45,000 - £50,000 + Training + Progression + Pension + Great Holiday Package + Health Benefits

The Person:

• ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma (Modules 1-4)
• Strong understanding of BS:5489 and highway lighting standards
• Proficient in Lighting Reality, AutoCAD, and lighting design software
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Full UK Driving Licence (for site visits)
• Experience liaising with DNOs/IDNOs and understanding of LV networks
• G39 qualification and BS#removed#th Edition (advantageous)
