About the Team

County Fleet Maintenance are Warwickshire County Councils in house vehicle maintenance and fleet assistance providers.

We are looking for a qualified Light Goods Vehicle Technician to join our team within a busy and dynamic workshop in Warwick. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and develop your skills while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the Role

You will be responsible carrying out general maintenance and servicing on a vast array of makes and models, but primarily for Warwickshire Police fleet vehicles. This includes engine, transmission and chassis repairs and diagnosis, electrical work and MOT prep. A class 4,5 and 7 MOT testers qualification is desirable.

This is a full-time permanent role working 37 hours per week.

Key Requirements
  • Level 3 NVQ in light vehicle maintenance, or relevant qualification
  • A good understanding of vehicle diagnosis
  • Understanding of vehicle compliance requirements
  • Good communication skills to liaise with Supervisors, other Technicians, customers and suppliers

Additional Information

The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.

An NPPV check is required for individuals who are to be appointed due to frequent and uncontrolled access to government assets.
