Job summary

A global leader in lift solutions is seeking a Lift Technician to join their Maintenance team in Leeds. Your main responsibilities will include troubleshooting faults on lifts and providing technical training and knowledge to engineers. The ideal candidate will have experience with lifts and possess at least an NVQ3 qualification in a relevant field. Qualifications

  • A full UK driver’s licence is essential.

Overview

We are looking for a Lift Technician to join our Lift Maintenance team in Yorkshire. Primary accountability for this role is to provide quality competence support by solving complex technical issues identified on equipment and spreading technical knowledge through the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver timely and precise fault finding and troubleshooting of lifts on site
  • Communicate with customers on site regarding day-to-day activities and updates on lift state
  • Create and process cases in Kone Technical helpdesk tool, prepare quality reports after remote support and/or site visits
  • Propose sales solutions to improve equipment reliability, comfort and safety, help sales in assessing the maintainability of equipment before tendering for maintenance contract
  • Highlight development needs of Service engineers, improve their competence by explaining root causes and solutions of the technical issues solved
  • Spread technical knowledge, provide training/coaching to engineers
  • Adhere to health and safety on site at all times
Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience in trouble shooting and fault finding of a variety of lifts
  • NVQ3 qualification is required, NVQ4 is preferable. We provide opportunity to complete NVQ4 with Kone
  • A full UK driver’s licence
  • Excellent knowledge and implementation of Health and Safety
  • Good IT skills
