• Must be 16 or over to take the final NPLQ assessment.
• Able to dive into deep water and swim 50 meters in less than 60 seconds.
• Capable of treading water for 30 seconds in deep water.

More About the Role

At Parkwood Leisure, 1 life, Legacy Leisure and Lex Leisure we live, breathe and inspire a healthy lifestyle. As a lifeguard you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all swimmers. It’s not just sitting around in a chair all day, you will have to be alert, and ready to act fast should any incidents arise. When you aren’t on poolside you will assist with a wide range of activities such as setting up sports equipment, cleaning, assisting customers with their needs and ensuring that you maintain a safe environment at all times.

• We’ll also ensure that you receive a full induction and regular training so you can be the best you can be.
• NPLQ Requirements - You must be 16 or over to take the final assessment. You must be able to dive into deep water, swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds, swim 100 metres continuously, tread water for 30 seconds in deep water, surface dive to the floor of the pool and climb out unaided without steps.

You will be a role model to other swimmers and will have the opportunity to learn additional valuable skills within the Leisure Centre including sales, customer service, effective communication, building workplace confidence and improving your lifesaving abilities!
