Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a customer services environment.
  • Experience as a Lifeguard in a wet and dry centre.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Manual Handling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake lifeguarding and operational duties.
  • Welcome and assist customers with general enquiries.
  • Maintain and monitor all facilities.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of facilities.
  • Set-up and take down of sports equipment.

Hours: 20 per week

Location: Waterlooville Leisure Centre

Salary: £12,254.53 (under 21) / £12,698.40 (21 and over)

Roles Available: 2

Role 1:

Monday: 14:00 – 18:00

Tuesday: 12:30 – 21:00

Wednesday: 10:00 – 18:30

Role 2:

Thursday: 12:30 – 21:00

Friday: 10:00 – 18:30

Saturday: 14:00 – 18:00

We are looking for a Lifeguard to join us in transforming our business from ‘good’ to ‘great’! This is a thrilling time for our company, and we need a key team member like you to help us achieve unprecedented success.

What does the role involve?

A hands‑on role that requires you to:

  • Undertake lifeguarding and operational duties as directed by the Duty Management Team
  • Welcome and assist customers with general enquiries
  • Use the Horizon HELLO in all customer interactions
  • Understand and be knowledgeable about our products and services
  • Maintain and monitor all facilities to ensure cleanliness is paramount and always free of hazards
  • Ensure customers are treated with respect
  • Ensure staff are treated with respect
  • Ensure the safety of all customers and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults
  • Set‑up and take down of sports equipment according to schedules

This role will be based at Waterlooville but will be expected to travel to other company sites as the need requires.
