Early Years Teaching Assistant Level 3

(Two days 8.30am-4.00pm, 14 hours, Other working days will be considered)

Grade C1 (SCP 12 -17) £28,598 FTE Salary – £14.82 per hour

Ninelands Primary School is a large and popular two form entry school in Garforth, Leeds. The governing body are seeking to employ an excellent EYFS Teaching Assistant Level 3 to support children in our Nursery classroom. We are looking for an inspirational and highly motivated practitioner who is passionate about working with young children and who can support the team in delivering our child-initiated play curriculum in our Early Years Foundation Stage. We are looking for an enthusiastic, warm and caring individual who is able to work with the nursery teacher to develop supportive relationships with children in order to secure outstanding outcomes.

We are seeking an individual who :
  • Has excellent literacy and numeracy skills, including GCSE (grade A-C) or equivalent in English and Maths with a Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Is passionate about child-initiated play
  • Understands how young children learn
  • Loves laughter, being outside, getting messy and rained on
  • Works effectively as part of a skilled team, having excellent communication skills
  • Is able to work on their own initiative and can confidently lead
  • Has enthusiasm, energy and passion for the job
  • Has high aspirations for own career development

Experience of working with primary children and a commitment to inclusion is essential.

Hours of work are two days part time (any two days considered but ideally Monday & Tuesday or Thursday & Friday, term time only, 8.30am – 4.00pm (14 hours per week) which includes lunchtime supervision and leading play for children over the lunchtime period.
