Level 2 Teaching Assistant – South Shields

Location: South Shields
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Pay: £89 to £110 per day (PAYE)

We’re looking for a brilliant Level 2 TA to join a specialist setting in South Shields that supports children with a wide range of additional needs. What you’ll be doing:
  • Supporting pupils with a mix of learning and communication needs
  • Helping with small group work and one-to-one activities
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with teachers and therapists to keep pupils thriving
What we’re looking for:
  • Level 2 childcare or TA qualification
  • A gentle, patient approach
  • Someone who’s great at building trust with children who need consistency
  • Experience in SEND is ideal, though not essential if you’ve got the right warmth and resilience
