Job description

Overview

Join our team at Merville Barracks to help manage the daily operations of the Cpl Budd Gymnasium and leisure facilities. This hands-on role supports the smooth running of the gym, sports halls, swimming pool, and reception while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for military and civilian users.

Responsibilities

• Oversee reception, fitness suites, sports halls, squash courts, and dry changing areas.
• Provide cover for reception and lifeguard duties, including emergency assistance.
• Manage and maintain gym, pool, and sports equipment; carry out regular checks and audits.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health & safety and company standards.
• Prepare areas for bookings, manage facility records, and liaise with military and civilian users.

What You\'ll Bring

• Experience in leisure, fitness, or sports facility operations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of health & safety and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Desirable: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
• Level 2 Fitness Instructor or Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.
