Legal Secretary / Assistant – Private Client

About the Role

Our client, a leading law firm with a strong reputation in Private Client services, is seeking an experienced Legal Support Assistant or a highly organised administrator to join their team. This pivotal role will support Partners and fee earners within the Wills, Trusts & Estates division, ensuring the seamless operation of legal and administrative processes.

Reporting to the Legal Support Manager, the successful candidate will provide in-depth business support, including but not limited to:

  • Drafting and formatting legal documents, letters, and forms.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for administrative and business support requirements.
  • Managing the file opening process and assisting with financial transactions.
  • Coordinating diaries and scheduling appointments for fee earners.
  • Handling client communications in a professional and efficient manner.
About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented individual with previous experience in legal or professional services. Key requirements include:

  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and confident typing abilities.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience with case management systems (preferred but not essential).
  • Prior knowledge of Private Client matters is desirable.
  • Audio typing skills would be advantageous.
