Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm

Overview: A well-established legal practice is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer with specific expertise in handling Employment Tribunal claims (Respondent) to join its Employment Department. This role involves managing a varied contentious caseload while also providing ongoing employment law and HR‑related advice to a portfolio of retained clients. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse Employment Tribunal caseload (predominantly Respondent defence work), making up approximately 2530% of the role.
  • Provide commercial, solution‑focused HR and employment law advice to employers subscribed to a retained support service.
  • Support around 2025 retained business clients, including organisations such as independent schools, care providers, and medical practices.
  • Deliver bespoke employment documentation and HR support, including on‑site attendances and co‑chairing employee hearings when required.
