A well-established legal practice with multiple regional offices is currently seeking a Legal Cashier to join its finance team, based in Swindon. The firm delivers a broad range of legal services to clients across various sectors and prides itself on both its professional reputation and inclusive workplace culture. As part of the internal finance function, this role plays a key part in supporting the wider legal team with day-to-day financial operations, particularly in line with the regulations governing client money handling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the process for issuing credit notes, handling transfer requests, and writing off balances where required
  • Managing client account transactions in line with current industry regulatory standards
  • Processing electronic and manual payments, including CHAPS, BACS, and cheques
  • Liaising directly with legal staff to provide information and updates regarding client account activity

  • Previous experience in a finance or cashiering role within a professional services environment
