About the Role

An opportunity for a highly organised Legal Assistant to join our team at the firm’s Wingate office. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to the conveyancing and private client departments. The role could potentially lead to a training contract for the suitable candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a close-knit environment and values variety in their day-to-day tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, format and proofread correspondence and legal documents and keep accurate and up to date records on the firm’s case management system.
  • Answer and make phone calls and manage email communications.
  • Schedule appointments and manage diaries.
  • Assist with billing, time recording, and other administrative tasks.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with legal procedures.
Person requirements
  • One year’s practical experience of working within a law firm essential.
  • Conveyancing and/or private client experience preferred but not essential.
  • Digital dictation and audio typing experience preferred.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills providing a customer focused, quality service at all times.
  • An organised and methodical approach to working with excellent attention to detail.
  • A polite, cheerful attitude, particularly when meeting clients and visitors.
