Overview

Legal Assistant - Residential Property

Location: Winchester | Salary: c£23,700pa depending on experience

Our client is seeking a motivated Legal Assistant to join their Residential Property team. This role offers the opportunity to provide vital administrative support while becoming an integral member of a highly regarded team. Working 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general office administration, including file management, billing, payment processing, and drafting correspondence.
  • Assist secretaries with dictation and document preparation.
  • Organise diaries, schedule meetings, and manage telephone enquiries.
  • Draft, proofread, and review legal documents and reports.
  • Maintain and organise case files efficiently.
  • Respond to correspondence from clients, other firms, and agents.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to property transactions, including exchange of contracts and completions.
  • Handle post-completion processes, including lodging AP1 forms and monitoring requisitions.
Candidate Requirements
  • Confident IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships across the firm.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
