A well-established law firm in Totnes is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to support experienced Solicitors and manage case progress. The role includes preparing documents, drafting letters, and general office administration. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills, an administration background, and a positive attitude towards continuous learning. Pertemps, on behalf of their client, is excited to be recruiting a Legal Assistant for a well-established, supportive law firm in Totnes. This is a full-time, permanent role and a brilliant opportunity to join a growing Private Client team that genuinely invests in its people.
You’ll be working closely with a team of experienced Solicitors, helping to keep cases progressing smoothly and clients well supported. Your day may include preparing documents for hearings and meetings, drafting letters and legal paperwork, organising case files, conducting research, managing diaries and court dates, and acting as a friendly, professional point of contact for clients and other parties. You’ll also support general office admin to keep everything running efficiently.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, confident and proactive. Strong communication and time management skills are key, and you’ll need to be comfortable prioritising a busy workload. Experience with legal terminology or case management systems is helpful, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important. A strong Administration background is a must!
