Lecturer in Motor Vehicle (EL299)
Salary: £28,997 - £43,748 (per annum)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 per week
Location: Ellesmere Port Campus
We are looking for an inspirational Lecturer to take on an exciting new role within our Motor Vehicle department at our Ellesmere Port Campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and teach a range of Motor Vehicle Service courses (including PHEV, Electrical Vehicle, MOT Test, Air Conditioning – Desirable).
  • Contribute to aspirational teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Keep accurate records of learners' progress.
Person Specification Requirements
  • Level 3 or above (or equivalent) in a discipline related to Motor Vehicle Service and Repair.
  • GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths.
  • PGCE or commitment to work towards it.
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience and up‑to‑date occupational experience.
  • Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check.

We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and from current industry practitioners who do not have a teaching qualification. Anyone joining the College will be part of a Lecturer Development Programme which offers induction into all College systems, an assigned curriculum mentor, regular 1‑2‑1 support from the Quality team and, for industry experts, a 12‑week Introduction to Teaching programme.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Successful applicants will be required to provide a DBS Disclosure, Right to Work evidence and original qualification certificates. Online checks will be carried out and references will be sought.
