About the Role

As a Lecturer in Forestry & Arboriculture at Plumpton College, you will deliver teaching to a variety of learners across our growing education programmes and industry training. You will use our unrivalled teaching spaces – including a large multi‑space workshop, bespoke training area, campus woodlands, and access to private woodlands through our landowner relationships – to provide both practical and theoretical instruction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deliver and assess learning outcomes for Forestry & Arboriculture courses.
  • Utilise our teaching resources and machinery to give students real‑world, hands‑on experience.
  • Support learners with a broad range of industry backgrounds, fostering a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the continuous improvement of teaching practice.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong knowledge and background in Tree Science, Surveying & Inspection, and Estate Skills.
  • Excellent up‑to‑date practical skills in forestry and arboriculture.
  • Experience working with industry machinery and timber processing equipment is desirable.
  • Teaching experience or a proven track record of industry expertise is highly valued.
