Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Cybersecurity Education (Academic Education Pathway)

Department of Informatics at University of East London (UEL) is looking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Cybersecurity Education at Strand, London, WC2R 2LS. This is an exciting time to join our team as we transition to a digital environment and modernise assessment delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in cybersecurity and related areas.
  • Supervise undergraduate and/or postgraduate project students.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and programme leadership.
  • Employ technology‑enhanced learning techniques.
  • Produce impactful research contributing to the university’s REF submission.
Qualifications
  • Experience of teaching in higher education.
  • Experience of supervising undergraduate and/or postgraduate project students.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the CDT area and specialist knowledge in one or more of the following sub‑areas: cyber security and networks, Internet of Things, web and mobile applications development, software engineering, cloud computing, data science and AI.
  • Evidence of using technology‑enhanced learning techniques.
  • For a Senior Lecturer: experience of programme leadership and curriculum development, evidence of impactful research outcomes, and a PhD level in computer science or a closely related subject area (or a higher degree and/or significant industrial experience).
Location & Salary

Location: Strand, London, WC2R 2LS (Docklands Campus). Salary: £46,471 to £60,752 per annum inclusive of London weighting.
