Job description

The provision aims to deliver dynamic and exciting lessons to students at KS4, many of whom have a range of individual support needs and who may find a college environment more appropriate for their educational needs. Class sizes are typically 10-18 students per class.

Responsibilities
  • To teach and assess learning on a range of courses, which include 14-16. Courses range from entry level to level 3, including college-based qualifications and workforce development.
  • To work effectively as a member of the team, liaising with Senior Curriculum Manager and all colleagues in the College.
  • To take an active role in own professional development in relation to all aspects of the role.
Who You Are
  • Possession of a Degree or comparable qualification
  • Possession of a teaching qualification
  • QTS / QTLS or working towards one
  • Experience of successful and innovative teaching and ideas for sharing this with colleagues. An understanding of the differences between teaching and learning and an ability to evaluate them.
  • Evidence of the ability to teach effectively to a range of students of all ages and to prepare relevant materials.
