A leading global real estate company is seeking a detail-oriented Lease Accountant for a 12-month fixed term contract in London. This role will support lease administration and financial operations across UK shopping centres. We’re on the lookout for a talented and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Lease Accountant on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a pivotal role within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you’ll be at the heart of lease administration and financial operations across our UK shopping centres—including Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City. Work closely with the Lease Administration & Billing Manager and Leasing and Legal departments to ensure all tenancy and change information is captured accurately in SAP/S4 Hana.
Assist with the lease renewal process, credit checks, internal lease letters, completion statements and reporting.
Real Estate, Commercial Partnerships, Intercompany and Utility Billing.
Communicate effectively with the business and tenants to deal with lease and billing enquiries and queries.
Responsible for the annual preparation of the Service Charge & Insurance calculations and billings, and supporting the business with tenant queries.
Monitor all processes and procedures to ensure compliance with URW policies and procedures.
Ensure all activities comply with the requirements of the current version of the Centre Health and Safety Policy Manual.
Undertake specific risk management tasks as delegated from time to time.
Communicates in a highly effective manner with the ability to interpret complex information.
Conducts all work in an ethical, professional and confidential manner.
Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team while maintaining accuracy and timeliness in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to analyse data.
High attention to detail.
Good knowledge of commercial conveyancing legal documents, especially commercial leases.
Accounting background – studying or intending – AAT preferable.
Property-related background preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel, using formulas and VLOOKUP / SUMIF; Experian tool for credit checks.
ERP system knowledge, SAP / S4Hana experience essential.
