Job Vacancy: Temporary Learning Support Officer

Location: East Lancashire

Hours: 21 hours per week

Hourly Rate: 15 - 20 per hour

Start Date: January 2026

Eden Brown is looking for a Learning Support Assistant on behalf of a leading college in Lancashire in the new year. This role will primarily involve providing 1:1 support to a Level 3 Sports Coaching and Development student in both theory and practical sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to a high-needs learner
  • Assist in both theory and practical sports coaching sessions
  • Support a vocational learning environment in Sports Coaching and Development
  • Work closely with teaching staff to monitor student progress and provide feedback.
  • Support students with personal and academic development as required.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in sports coaching or a related field
  • Experience working in an educational setting supporting students with SEN
  • Ability to support practical and theoretical learning in a vocational context
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting students to achieve their best
Working Hours
  • Monday: 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)
  • Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM / 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
  • Thursday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
  • Friday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
