Job summary

A leading educational institution in Solihull is seeking a Teaching & Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with MLD. Ideal candidates will possess relevant childcare qualifications and experience working with children. The role offers a dynamic school environment where staff are passionate about student achievements. Working hours are 32.5 per week during term time, with a contract starting on 01 February 2026 or as soon as possible. Qualifications

  • Relevant childcare qualification is essential.
  • GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent required.
  • Experience with children and expertise in behaviour management are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Support learning in a nurturing environment.

  • Participate in parents’ evenings and school activities.

Teaching & Learning Support Assistant – 2 posts

Salary: C Band – Annual salary £26,824 - £29,540 Pro rata Actual Salary £20,198 - £22,244

32.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday) – Term Time Only

Monday 8.30 a.m. to 4.20 pm. Tuesday to Friday 8.30 am. to 3.20 pm. Plus two Parents’ Evenings each academic year.

Contract: Permanent

To start 01 February 2026 or as soon as possible.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • NNEB/NVQ Level 3/BTEC or other relevant childcare qualification
  • High level of literacy and numeracy – GCSE Maths & English pass grade (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children/SEN experience and positive behaviour management expertise
