You’ll provide 1:1 and small group interventions, support EHCP reviews and help learners gain independence, confidence and positive outcomes. 8.30 am to 5.00 pm 1-hour lunch Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week (Term Time only 38 plus 2 weeks). Some flexibility on these hours may be required.

21546 gross per annum (FT equivalent 24570)

Qualifications

• Qualified to PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) – Essential
• GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above – Essential
• L2 / L3 Safeguarding – Essential
• SEN qualifications demonstrating knowledge and competency with ASD (autism spectrum disorder)
• Behaviour management training

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to learners in both group and individual settings
• Play an active role in classroom and physical activities alongside tutors
• Gain on-the-job training with continued professional development (CPD)
• Assist with lesson preparation schemes of work, Individual Student Plans (ISPs) and Care Plans
• Maintain knowledge of each learner’s stage of development, assessments and support needs
• Support with educational visits and accompany learners when required
• Follow and promote safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality and data protection policies
