Special Needs Teaching Assistant - SEN School, Central area of Leeds

Full Time Term Time Only 8:30-15:30
Initially via Career Teachers with potential for permanent contract

A welcoming and forward‑thinking SEN school in the heart of Leeds is seeking dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join their team. These full‑time roles are offered on a long‑term basis through Career Teachers, with a strong possibility of moving onto a permanent school contract for the right candidates.

About the Role

You will play a vital part in supporting children and young people with a range of additional learning needs, including autism and communication difficulties. Working closely with teaching staff and the wider support team, you'll help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one‑to‑one and small group support to students with autism and other learning needs
  • Assist with personalised learning plans and differentiated activities
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff
  • Contribute to a nurturing, structured and supportive classroom environment

Location & Hours
