Job summary

An educational recruitment agency in York is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant. The role involves supporting students in managing their behavior and building confidence. Ideal candidates are compassionate and resilient individuals with a background in health care or as a support worker, ideally with experience in supporting students with additional needs. Full-time contract, Monday to Friday, offering a daily salary between £88 and £110 depending on experience.

  • Background in health care or as a support worker is welcome; experience with students with additional needs and SEMH is preferable.
  • Ability to start as soon as possible and work in a dedicated team.

Overview

GSL Education's North Yorkshire branch is currently looking to recruit dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support students in managing their behaviour, building confidence and making progress across the curriculum at Client Secondary school in York, North Yorkshire.

Responsibilities
  • Support students in managing their behaviour, building confidence and making progress across the curriculum.
  • Work on 1:1 and small group basis with students.
  • Provide support at a Client Secondary school for students with additional needs in York, North Yorkshire.
  • Contribute as a Complex Needs/SEMH Teaching Assistant in a Client Secondary school for students with additional needs in York, starting as soon as possible.
