Overview

Learning Mentor needed in Salford via Step Teachers. Step Teachers are looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Mentor to join an outstanding special needs school in Salford, supporting students aged 9-19 with Autism and Complex Needs. This is a rewarding role where every day brings new challenges and the chance to make a real difference. You'll learn new skills and enhance your CV.

Responsibilities
  • Work with students on a one-to-one and small group basis, helping them access learning and achieve their potential.
  • Support students who have social, emotional or behavioural needs with encouragement, structure and positive reinforcement.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, the SENCO, parents and external professionals to create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Record observations, behaviours and safeguarding concerns as part of the role.
Role Details

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, starting as soon as possible. The role is long-term with the potential to become permanent.

School Information

You'll be joining a supportive SEN school with small class sizes of no more than ten pupils and 4 staff. The school has a strong ethos of empathy, respect and inclusion, ensuring that every child is valued and supported. Located in Salford, it's easily accessible by train and bus, with free on-site parking available.

Benefits and Pay
  • Pay ranges from £90 to £110 per day depending on experience. We pay through PAYE only - no umbrella companies.
  • From week 13 of your placement, you'll also receive equal pay to permanent staff.
