Job summary

A respected teaching agency is seeking a full-time Learning Mentor to join a primary school in Camden from January 2026. This role focuses on supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them engage positively with learning and assisting in their transition to mainstream classes. Qualifications

Learning Mentor - Primary School (Camden)

We are working with a welcoming primary school in Camden who are seeking a full-time Learning Mentor to join their team from January 2026 (induction start).

This is a brand-new role within the school and an exciting opportunity to work in their newly established Additional Resource Provision (ARP).

Full-time position

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

Start date: January 2026 (induction)

Initially supporting 5 pupils as part of a wider ARP team

About the Role:

You will be supporting pupils with SEMH needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and school life. A key part of the role will be supporting children as they transition back into mainstream classes, acting as a consistent and trusted figure throughout this process.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A good understanding of SEMH
  • Experience working with primary-aged children
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
