Job description
Overview

As a Learning Coach, you will work closely with colleagues within Employability and ESOL to support individuals to become more independent learners through the development of their wider personal, study and employability knowledge, skills, and behaviours. You will provide support for learners to be successful at college and progress to positive destinations. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, passion, and motivation to provide the highest quality service to all our learners in creative and individual ways.

Responsibilities
  • The facilitation of group Personal Development sessions, group, and individual tutorials
  • Setting and reviewing of SMART targets
  • Monitoring, and supporting attendance and punctuality
  • Supporting learners with enrichment opportunities
  • Building effective working relationships with a diverse range of learners; liaising with colleagues and external stakeholders as a key feature of the role
Qualifications
  • Level 2 qualifications in maths and English or equivalent (e.g. GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above)
  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Recent and relevant experience of working with young people
