Learning and Development Administrator

Telford — Permanent

Circa £28,000

Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm + 25 days holiday + BH

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Learning and Development Administrator to join our Learning and Development team. In this role, you will work closely with the Learning and Development Coordinator to support the delivery of both in-house and external training programmes. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate training records, coordinating training logistics, and supporting employees with their learning and development needs.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all learning and development enquiries, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records, ensuring all documentation is electronically filed and organised within the HR system.
  • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
  • Input and monitor training data for Production and Warehouse pathways using the training matrix.
  • Ensure operator training levels are current and accurately recorded.
  • Track employee training progress and coordinate refresher training when necessary.
  • Provide HR and Payroll with relevant training data, including employee names, pathways, and training levels.
  • Record training hours on KPI spreadsheets and ensure alignment with the training budget.
  • Add new employees (including temporary staff) to the training database and update records for leavers.
  • Archive leaver files both digitally and in hard copy.
  • Maintain comprehensive training records, including course materials, attendance logs, and evaluations.
  • Support general administrative tasks such as handling post, booking meeting rooms, taking minutes, managing diaries, processing expense claims, and arranging travel and accommodation.
  • Assist in the development of training materials including presentations, handouts, and e-learning modules.
  • Answer internal and external telephone calls in a professional manner.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Hygiene, and ISO 9000 standards.
  • Provide support to the Learning and Development Coordinator and undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
Skills and Experience
  • A good understanding of learning and development processes, policies, and procedures.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above (preferred).
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a training or learning and development environment is desirable; however, transferable skills from other sectors will be considered.
  • Familiarity with production machinery and roles is advantageous, or a willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
