Overview

Learning Advisor – Remote – Permanent, Full time. Salary: up to £30,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Advisor to join our Learning & Development team at Mears. As a Learning Advisor, you’ll be the first point of contact for colleagues seeking advice on learning and development opportunities. You’ll guide employees through a wide range of options – from formal qualifications to informal training – helping them choose the right pathways for their personal and professional growth. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about learning, thrives on collaboration, and enjoys helping others unlock their potential.

About the Role:

  • Acting as the go-to person for all learning queries across the business.
  • Supporting colleagues in identifying their learning needs and recommending tailored development opportunities.
  • Promoting learning initiatives and ensuring they align with Mears’ wider goals.
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including training providers.
  • Championing inclusivity and accessibility in all learning solutions.
  • Analysing trends and contributing to the continuous improvement of our L&D offering.

Role Criteria:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset with a passion for helping others develop.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • IT literacy and confidence in using learning technologies.
  • A solid understanding of different learning options, from qualifications to informal training.
