Role Overview

Our client is seeking a proactive and reliable Leakage Technician to join their team and play a key role in the detection and reporting of water leakage across the Southern Water framework. This role is critical in helping reduce water loss, improve network efficiency, and meet environmental targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out active leakage detection using various techniques including acoustic listening sticks, correlators, ground microphones, and noise loggers.
  • Investigate and pinpoint suspected leaks on both public water mains and customer supply pipes.
  • Liaise with network control, repair teams, and customer services to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Collect and record accurate field data, including GIS locations, leak details, and asset condition.
  • Support field surveys and assessments as part of planned or reactive maintenance activities.
  • Promote health and safety best practices at all times and ensure compliance with company procedures.
