The Vet Office is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Veterinarian to join a well-established veterinary clinic located in Dublin.

This is a key leadership role within a busy, progressive practice, ideal for a clinician who is passionate about delivering excellent veterinary care while inspiring and supporting a high-performing team.

Responsibilities
Leadership
  • Act as an ambassador for the clinics values, culture and standards, both internally and externally.
  • Lead the clinical team with a positive, proactive approach, offering coaching, mentoring and support to veterinary surgeons, nurses and support staff.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with the full team, ensuring alignment with clinical, operational and organisational goals.
  • Collaborate closely with operational, medical and support teams to define and deliver the clinics strategic direction.
  • Promote an inclusive workplace culture that values equality, diversity and shared success.
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Serve as the named person for PAS Accreditation and ensure ongoing compliance with VCI Code of Standards (COS) regulations.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical judgement and encourage best practice clinical standards across the team.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, purchasing procedures and new initiatives.
  • Oversee development and progression of the veterinary team through mentorship, case discussions and structured clinical support.
  • Support the Head RVN in driving exceptional nursing and patient care standards.
  • Promote preventative healthcare, including vaccinations, parasite control, PHPs and pet insurance.
  • Foster a culture that values high-quality clinical work, ensuring accurate estimating, transparency and correct billing.
Operational Responsibilities
  • Work closely with senior management to build and implement the annual business plan for the clinic.
  • Take accountability for achieving clinic-level KPIs, including revenue, profitability, clinical quality, client satisfaction and team performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement across all areas of the practice to ensure long-term sustainability and growth.
