Job summary

A civil engineering and tunnelling contractor is seeking an experienced project manager to oversee tunnelling projects in various locations across South England, including Ipswich. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing Tunnelling and Shaft projects, proficiency in NEC contracts, and a degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering. The role involves ensuring projects meet high safety and quality standards, managing commercial performance, and liaising with procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Must have experience of managing Tunnelling and Shaft projects within highly regulated environments in the UK.
• Proficient in NEC contracts and contract and change management is essential.
• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the site is run safely and efficiently.
• Maximise the commercial performance of the contract.
• Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department.

Skills

Experience of managing Tunnelling and Shaft projects

Proficient in NEC contracts

Design Management Programme & Risk Management

Ability to challenge designs

Education

Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
