As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the critical infrastructure that powers our services. You’ll work on exciting projects with complex challenges in a unique space, delivering solutions that have real-world impact.

Our UK Cyber & Intelligence business combines modern software development approaches with a rich heritage in Defence and security. We partner with customers on ambitious digital transformation programmes, delivering technology projects at scale and pace.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform hands-on development and actively contribute to the code base, including peer reviews.
  • Support the Delivery Lead/Project Manager in developing project roadmaps and communicating timelines to customers.
  • Liaise with the Product Owner to manage the product roadmap and assess the impact of changing requirements.
  • Identify technical risks and opportunities, proactively developing plans to mitigate or realise them.
What We’re Looking For
  • Hands‑on experience developing software in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Understanding of cloud‑based architectures in AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of database technologies like SQL, Elasticsearch, or MongoDB.
