Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working, with 1 day every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

The SRE Team:

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) empower users with a rich feature set, high availability, and stellar performance levels.

About the role:

This is a hands-on role within our Software Engineering team. You will manage the SRE function daily, working closely with the Head of Engineering, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and enhance user experiences.

The successful candidate will lead and shape our approach to the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure, with significant autonomy.

  • Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Platform management
  • Development and deployment of APIs using containerized environments such as Kubernetes
  • Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
  • Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • Experience with AWS services, including IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  • Knowledge of CloudFormation and CDK
  • Experience with serverless computing
