Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working, with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

About the role:

This is a hands-on role. Working with the Software Engineering team, you will manage the SRE function daily, collaborating with the Head of Engineering to provide expertise and working with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and positive user experiences.

The successful candidate will review, lead, and drive our strategy for the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure. You will have significant autonomy to shape the team’s future using your extensive skills in:

• Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform management
• Development and deployment of APIs using containerized environments such as Kubernetes
• Implementing/enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
• Collaborating with business stakeholders in an agile environment
• Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
• AWS services, including IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
• CloudFormation/CDK
• Exposure to serverless computing
