Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

About the role:

This hands-on role involves working within the Software Engineering team to manage the SRE function daily, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and enhance user experiences. You will review, lead, and drive our strategic approach to software and service maturity, security, performance, and scalability across our cloud infrastructure. The role offers significant autonomy to shape the team's future based on your extensive experience in:

  • Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform management
  • API development and deployment using containerized environments like Kubernetes
  • Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders in an agile environment
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • AWS services, especially IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  • CloudFormation/CDK
  • Working with serverless computing
